Men don't write what you find here very much. I think I understand, but any account for it would echo the chaffing heresy of Lorca's King of the Crickets. I'm glad to have been blogging in this no-man's-land, I've been fortunate in Laurent's habillement. Nobody suggested to me that I would draw the welcome of readers who are happy women. I'm rewarded. I am touched, and I learn, as from a drop of water.
we who read you we love what you write and love you for the little we know about you and come back to know a bit more about you Laurent!
ReplyDeleteYours is the only blog I have seen which embraces its imagery to celebrate the humanity of its figures. Even if you were not as welcoming a host as you are benign an artist, you would be a powerful model for this project.

ReplyDeleteAnd should continue, all dressed in Laurent.
Or dressed in Lorca !
No one would dream of emulating your eloquence with water, Valéry, or of considering himself its student without consulting you. I like this image from Lorca for the very reason that he used it, almost as a borrowing from your portfolio. I admire and rely enormously on your carrying that vision to the flux where Laurent is cast, himself.
