This is an adjustment of a portrait by the American photographer, Rick Day. Mr Day is inordinately fond of sepia, and our remarks on that inclination are searchable here under the term, "cuttlefish." But he is also on speaking terms with some of our more expressive dogs, and when I found this portrait of an undoubted Malibu residence - or, at any rate, the Malibu I grew up with, before the age of Streisand - I welcomed the tumble and jumble of rustic, semi-nomadic domesticity at the water's edge, and felt strongly that it belonged in this blog. But I happen to like all 4 images very considerably, and I hope you can enjoy the setting of the jewel you prefer. Thank you for welcoming yet another canine portrait to our reading here.
And here, I had thought it was all subliminal. :) You, by the way, have certainly roared back in style. I always fear for you in that headlong mode, because I think of your skiing.
I love the final image.
